Winter Haiku – Poem 756

Ice bejeweled
Japanese maple sparkling
in winter sunlight

Out of nowhere a
Stellar’s jay lands a moment
then goes on her way

The Townsend warbler
black mask breast yellow breast
pecks frozen suet

Redbreasted nuthatch
so tiny where will she find
a warm bed tonight
